7b. 12th Level Organisation 2 - Solfeggio 1
Vibratory Energy in Audible Sound
At certain frequencies, audible sound has both physical and spiritual effects.
This is the case of the Solfeggio Frequencies. They are inexpensive to obtain and are frequently used in meditation. Often they are free MP3 recordings that can be downloaded on Internet.
However many of these products are essentially useless. Often they contain non-solfeggio frequencies which diminish their effectiveness. Further, their listening times may be totally inappropriate, e.g. 2 to 9 hours. Also no indication is given for their optimal auditory volume, nor for the domain of their expected usefulness.
This contribution from the 12th Level seeks to provide some new guidelines to the use and construction of a Solfeggio Frequency device. This is a crucial measure before the subsequent step can be envisaged, i.e. their desired effectiveness. Which frequencies are really useful, for which conditions, at which intensity and how long?
Therapeutic contributions to human wellbeing has been noted frequently, some more systematically with some conditions, and some others by frequent observation of individual developments. Yet it is generally agreed at this point that much more systematic analysis is necessary.
The Authors
Since this section is part of the official 12th Level website, it will not surprise you that my main co-author is an invisible archangel. To produce this document I was strongly guided by Archangel Uriel. She furnished all the numerical details of this document, down to its last decimal points. For seven years she has guided me through this complex domain.
She directed me to implement a total of 77 previous projects. They were mostly about my health condition which has gone up and down during these seven years (I am now 80 in 2025). I was told not even to share this ongoing test series. Archangel Uriel has five assistants in the 12th Level who evaluated my various reactions to these projects. My kind thanks go out to these five assistants.
Generally, Uriel tells me that my performance has improved with time, particularly since starting my own Solfeggio recordings. Uriel tells me that my health recovery this year has represented about 25% of my total improvement. Much of the rest is due to much better theta sleep and some dietary changes.
Now, with this document we present the first public report about our procedure. As a collaboration between these invisible and yet most reliable source from beyond, we are offering here yet another concrete and ample manifestation from the 12th Level. In its minute details, this material was examined by the following committee: the Archangels Gabriel, Jophiel and Azrael. I heartily thank each of them for their great and thorough examination. Every word in this text was weighted and considered before publication.
In the next section we shall quickly touch on the central premises of this field.

Two aspects of this list stand out:
-- In the 12th Level we specify ten frequencies, while nearly every one else specifies at most nine frequencies. In fact, the 12th Level added a tenth Solfeggio frequency at 1122.688 Hz. Yet higher frequencies are also possible, but are not exploited in living humans.
-- Also, our frequency specifications extend to the third decimal point. All our calculations use these more precise specifications.
Your Decisive Intention
Please have another look:
Relieving pain and stress
Healing tissue and organs
Removing guilt, fear and anxiety
Undoing situations and facilitating change
Transformation and surprising changes
Connecting, relationships and positive emotions
Intuition, problem-solving, cleansing and self-expression
Returning to spiritual order
Higher consciousness and self activation
Soul-like spiritual state
Will you try “Relieving pain and stress”?
Or “Undoing situations and facilitating change”?
Or even “Returning to spiritual order”?
These are quite some tasks.
Do you really have the intention to go into that direction?
Or not? Perhaps tomorrow?
Your intention will make all the difference.
The next section will give you a good example.
Testing Intentions
In 1988, biochemist Dr. Glen Rein made a wellknown discovery. He tested the impact of different types of music on human DNA, using the Solfeggio frequency of 528 Hz. Rein exposed similar DNA vials to four kinds of music – Gregorian chants, Sanskrit chants, classical, and rock music.
In vitro experiments were conducted to determine DNA light absorption following sound stimulation. Sound waves at 528 Hz were played from a diversity of music genres, and they were found to have an effect on the DNA. By measuring the rate of UV light absorption, an essential function of DNA, Rein was able to assess the effects of each type of music.
The impact was this:
- Rock music: -1.8%
- Classical music: +1.1%
- Sanskrit mantras: +5.8% - 8.26%
- Gregorian chants: +5% - 9.1%
The Gregorian and Sanskrit chants had the most positive, even healing effects by increasing UV light absorption between 5 to 9 percent. Classical music increased UV absorption by small amounts. And rock music decreased UV light absorption, harming the DNA. Rein’s research supported the theory that these sound frequencies can produce serious effects, for better or worse, on our well-being. This was reported in several conference proceedings.1
A detailed study was then undertaken in 2003. They took ten individuals who were trained and experienced in heart-focused techniques. These participants generated feelings of love and appreciation while holding the intention to cause a sample of DNA to either wind or unwind. Eighteen individuals with no such training served as controls.
For the people with love and appreciation “there was an increase in heart coherence. ... In some cases, changes in DNA conformation of up to 25% were observed, indicating a very robust effect.
In contrast, the control group showed no significant increase in heart coherence and produced no significant change in the DNA (mean change 1.09%).”
So the intention is very important. It matters greatly what opinions we hold, as well as for any potential actions we undertake as a consequence of our intention.
Solfeggio Sounds and their Effects on Emotion
Take this concept a bit further. Sound has the power to change us, either positively or negatively.
Think of the sadness and frustration when we hear a sad event, about those close to us or even far away. Alternatively, think of beautiful moments in your life. Happy or sad events change fundamental aspects in our entire body, not only in our mental state, but also in our inner physiology.
This has become a complete systematic setup to induce emotions with various sound effects. Many composers and sound designers make their living just with such happenings. At the same time, specific sound frequencies have been found to demonstrate healing qualities that are able to calm the mind and body.
Since Rein’s illuminating discovery in 1988, further research has come to light that shows that Solfeggio frequencies have profound mental, emotional, and physical effects. If one examines recent scientific analyses, one will discover many well documented studies. Systematic findings have been established for physical symptoms like fatigue, pain, stress and various diseases. This understanding has permitted Solfeggio therapy to become well established, to help individuals in their physical and emotional state.
Solfeggio Frequencies Explained
In more detail: let us connect a line between all Solfeggio frequencies. You may wonder why they do not give a straight line.

The reason goes way back into history. The Solfeggio series was probably created in the Chaldean period. The Chaldeans were the first human earth inhabitants to use calculations in antiquity, in the pre-4000 year period. They were centered in the Babylonian area (today Iraq). They probably probably passed this series to Pythagoras (c. 570 - c. 495 BC).
This Pythagorean method is a simple reduction method, used to turn big numbers into single digits. The values of all digits in a big number are added up to one number. When after the first addition the number still contains more than one digit, the process is repeated.
Here’s an example: 456 can be reduced to 4+5+6 = 15, and subsequently reduced to 1+5=6. So the number 456 reduces eventually to the single digit 6.
According to this method the span between Solfeggio frequencies 3 and 4 was probably reduced to a first digit of the same value, and was only modified in a subsequent set of operations from 396.797 Hz to 417.885 Hz. Similar reasoning applies to the interval between 936.489 Hz and 1122.688 Hz, where a single digit operation was performed first, before an ultimate specification was performed afterwards.
Consequently one should not be surprised at the very odd and irregular series of these Solfeggio frequencies.
Pythagorean tuning for Solfeggio
In the intervening centuries between Pythagoras and the Renaissance, a related development occurred.
If one listens carefully to how a large tight cord vibrates (a so-called monochord), you will hear its overtones. A typical monochord is approximately 100 cm long. Particularly noticeable are overtones of the first, third and quarter of the monochord's length.
These are called octaves, perfect thirds and perfect fourths. The normal, equal temperament western scale does not have precise perfect thirds and perfect fourths. They are more or less approximated. In a scale starting with C, the interval from C to E is a major third, approximated as “perfect”, while the interval from E to G is a minor third. Also a "quarter" does not have a regular pitch interval. On a C scale, it would be a note that is slightly higher or lower than the notes in the standard scale, which are C, D, E, F, G, A, and B.
This is the conceptual motivation behind Pythagorean tuning which do respect the monochord observations. Our current equal temperament western scale became necessary in the 18th century, in order to permit a common reference for different instruments in an orchestra.
Wikipedia says: “Pythagorean tuning is a musical tuning system based on the frequency ratios of pure perfect fifths (3:2) and octaves (2:1). This method creates a scale by stacking these intervals, but it can lead to tuning issues, such as the 'wolf fifth', making it challenging to play in all keys.”
This is relevant to Solfeggio frequencies. In an octave, Pythagorean tuned chords are in their strongest possible configurations for meditation and therapy. Consequentally it makes sense to tune Solfeggio tones according to the Pythagoras rules. The octave should be set at 438 Hz, to bring all octaves into their greatest congruence with expected Solfeggio frequencies. Within such octaves emphatic tones should then favor perfect thirds and perfect fourths.
How to use Solfeggio frequencies today
Can one create musical scores with Solfeggio frequencies?
Yes, in different ways:
- Use Solfeggio tuning forks, singing bowls, bells, flutes, harp, etc.
- Generate exact Solfeggio frequencies with computers and optionally integrate them into a Pythagorian melody.
- Use the Solfeggio tuning found in certain musical tools. E.g. Organteq (Modart.com) has optional settings to “Pythagore” that can produce more realistic Solfeggio melodies.
The following melodies were produced with exact, computer-generated Solfeggio frequencies.
Our procedure to produce Solfeggio frequencies
Here we wish to create a melody with nothing but Solfeggio frequencies. Archangel Uriel helped us. For the recordings of Care.mp3 and Soul.mp3 she chose the following frequencies, as well as their amplitudes measured in Hz:

Next these frequencies are made as follows:
We create two separate mono tracks of the desired length, frequency and amplitude for each Solfeggio condition. One mono track is slightly shortened by 4.7 ms, in order to produce a rest-favoring binaural setup.
In the Care configuration the two tracks were 40 minutes long, with four different Solfeggio frequencies and maximum amplitudes. The Soul configuration was 50 minutes long with a similar structure. We use sine waves.
In the next step we convert the two mono channels into a single stereo channel. This means that for each Solfeggio condition the two channels run in a slight delay to each other because of the 4.7 ms initial difference.
Then we accumulate the four (or N) Solfeggio results into a single stereo channel. These frequency strings are finally fed into 48 kHz mp3 recordings.
For their application:
-- These two recordings are destined for human beings of any age. With at least one per week of regular use, these recordings should give you some physical and spiritual benefits.
-- For intensive needs, several separate sessions are possible in the same day. But keep each session to a maximum of one hour.
-- Keep the volume as low as possible, while hearing the sounds well. They should not bother you in the long time.
Special free offer:
-- The 12th Level has permitted me to make this offer:
Write to me in the Contact window below. We shall see what I can do for you within the Solfeggio framework, e.g. the free recordings of "Care.mp3" and "Soul.mp3", or personal requests.
Set up the Solfeggio Frequencies
Suppose now that you decide to listen to a real Solfeggio Frequencies device. You have reserved about one and a half hours of totally free time for this meditation.
You have darkened your room.
If you use the phone, put it into “airplane mode”. It should still produce sound. You may have to press “airplane mode” and then again “Bluetooth”.
If you use your computer, make sure that it only produces the Solfggio sounds and nothing else. For the best meditation you can use ear phones, but a closeby speaker will also do.
Lie down in a comfortable position, unless you can use another comfortable position for a full hour.
Now turn on the Solfeggio Frequency. At the end it should turn off automatically.
You may fall asleep during the meditation. That's fine, no problem.
Now enjoy the peace.
After some training, you will begin to experience some effects. The training time may be just a day, or several sessions, or even several months. Do not give up easily, stick to it and the effects will come to you.
Illumination - Glimpses of Heaven
Among other effects you may get “glimpses of heaven” in your meditation, or shortly thereafter. While you still have your eyes closed, some part of you in your inner eyesight will give you welcome flashes. This your connection with your divine forces. It is your Illumination.
In accounts of “Near Death Experiences” and of “Afterlife Interviews” one encounters many such events. Check out some experiences in our Documents section, e.g. “Woman Dies”. While passing from life to death, many people see and are attracted by sources of light. They follow that source and suddenly encounter a divine and welcoming entity on the Other Side.
These are elements of your personal divine connection. You will appreciate these precious links that may occur in or after a Solfeggio meditation.
